Christal Carter is an internationally known quilt designer, author of four quilt design books, lecturer and teacher. In the past 4 years she has directed this talent to oil on canvas paintings. With a focus on Christian art, quilts, children, animals and still life arrangements; her depictions are delightful and "true to life".
You are invited to view her Art Gallery. Signed Giclée (GEE CLAY) prints on canvas or archival paper are available without frames or with a choice of frames and mat color.
Giclée prints are those that you are likely to see in museums(the originals are most likely kept in the vault). The Giclée process was initially developed for making the "proofs" for lithographs. Lithographs were the closest reproduction of an original you could purchase. The lithographs, however, could not measure up to the quality of the giclee(the proof). Giclée (to squirt, in French) is a high technology form of ink jet printing. The art world has now turned to the giclee as the best alternative to owning an original.
Welcome and enjoy.
